Word of Faith

What Word of Faith is and it’s teachings

WORD of FAITH

What is the Word of Faith

The phrase comes from the Word of God in Romans 10:8. We read that the author writes that the Word is near you. It is in your heart and in your mouth. That is the Word of faith that we preach. Please read the rest of the chapter and you will see that the writer makes it clear how we speak in faith. It isn’t something we have in our hand or something that we can see. It is something that is in our heart, and then we SPEAK it. In other translations it says CONFESS it. In verse 13 of that same chapter it says that if we call on the name of the Lord we will be saved. That word “saved” means much more than simply being thrown a lifesaver. It means being completely restored to the previous state before being lost, or broken.

These aren’t just the words of the writer of Romans. Jesus said it too in Mark 11:23-24. But in this verse He says something that is really controversial. He starts the verse by saying “whosoever”, meaning that there is no special requirement. In other times Jesus says “those who believe in me” “my disciples” “those who love me”, but here He says “whosoever”. Please note the believing and the saying.

whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

It can’t be any clearer than that. In most bibles these words are in red.

In Romans 4:17 we see that God speaks in Faith, calling those things that are not as though they were.

The Word of Faith is not a man thing. The Word of Faith is the Word of God.
